On December 23, 2021 at the age of 93 years, Martha Ehnes peacefully ended her worldly journey to join her beloved husband Joseph (Joe) Ehnes. Martha left behind a legacy of four children, nine grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Martha was an avid writer and had an adventurous spirit. She loved the outdoors, travelling across Canada, camping, and hiking with our father and many friends. Martha was born on April 14, 1928, in Killaley, Saskatchewan to Joseph and Caroline Baumgardner. She grew up on the farm with her six siblings in Flat Valley, Saskatchewan where her family homesteaded. She married Joe Ehnes on November 15, 1949, and treasured 53 years of marriage.
She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Vivian Mattia, Randy (Sharon) Ehnes, Connie Ehnes, Holly Auger; grandchildren, Vanessa (Karl) Dobson, Bryan (Jen) Auger, Adrienne (David) Kelsey, Chantal (John) Nogueira, Alanna (Everett) Frater, Caley Ehnes, Justin (Rachel) Ehnes, Renata (Casey) Hills, Rachelle Meilleur and 18 great-grandchildren.
