Birth is also recorded as 30 Apr 1829, Tamlaght, Londonderry, Northern Ireland

Daughter of Oliver Wyley/Wyllie and Mary Ann George

Married Guy Messiah Keysor, 17 Sep 1855, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah

Children - James Bernard Keysor, Peter Moroni Keysor, Ruth Susan Independence Keysor, Mary Mersilva Keysor, Ephraim Manassa Keysor, William George Keyso

Married Charles Wilkinson, 1859, Utah

Daughter - Rebecca Harriet Wilkinson (Keysor)

Charles, left a widower for a second time, met the acquaaintance of Mrs. Ruth Keysor of Salt Lake City. She was the plural wife of Bro. G. H. Keyser. Mrs. Keyser subsequently secured a divorce from Bro. Keyser and afterward [married Brother] Wilkinson. The marriage was an unfortunate one, as the parties were not suited to each other, and resulted in disagreement, and finally a legal separation. They had one child, a daughter christened Ruth Elizabeth, but when the Mother returned to and re-married her first husband, Mr. Keyser, the child was re-christened Rebecca Harriet, but she went by the name of Wilkinson.

During the time this union lasted, a period of about 1 ½ years, beginning in the Spring of 1859, and ending in the Fall of 1861, Bro. Wilkinson's good fortune in financial matters seemed to have deserted him, and although he worked hard he could make no headway. In the Spring of 1861, he was called to cross the Plains to help to gather the poor, and went in capacity of night guard. In January of 1862 he married Miss Ann Denton.

History - Ruth Wyllie, was born at Johnson, Lanarkshire, Scotland.

Her mother, together with her children, were baptized early in January, 1847, at Glasgow, Scotland, in a stream where they had to break the ice before the ordinance could be performed. The family afterwards moved to Manchester, England, and later to Liverpool, whence they sailed for America on a sailing vessel.

On the voyage Ruth took sick, and when about three days out from Liverpool, according to her own statement, her spirit left her body and visited two of her sisters who had been left in England. These two sisters desired to have her spirit remain with them, but she refused to stay, telling the sisters that if she did so her body would be thrown overboard. The next morning each of the two sisters set out in search of the other, in order to recount the experience of the night, and met each other on the way.

Ruth crossed the plains in Captain Brown's company and arrived in the Valley Sept. 5, 1855.

She became the wife of Guy Messiah Keysor of Salt Lake City Sept. 19, 1885. She bore her husband seven children, namely: Mary Merselvia, James Barnard, William George, Rebecca Harriet, Peter Moroni, Ephraim Manassa and Ruth Susan Independence.

Just before Johnston's Army arrived in the Valley she, like many others, went south (at the time of the general move) as far as Salt Creek (Nephi).

Sister Keysor was a faithful Latter-day Saint, and for many years an active member of the Relief Society of the 8th Ward, Salt Lake City.

Mormon Pioneer Overland Travel; Age of Departure: 16, Family histories indicate Ruth crossed the plains in 1855. In the 1856 Utah Territorial census she is Ruth Kezer. Her mother, Mary Ann George Wylie, and sister, Elizabeth Wylie Steele, traveled the next year with the Martin Handcart Company.
