Stanley "Toby" Larson, 82, of Vermillion died Friday, June 8, 2007, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vermillion. Burial will be in Meckling Cemetery, rural Meckling, S.D. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Hansen Funeral Home in Vermillion, S.D. Stanley was born Feb. 15, 1925, in Yankton, S.D., to Clark and Clarissa (Myron) Larson. He attended school in Meckling and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He married Harriett Hawkinson on Oct. 22, 1949. He married Miriam "Dolly" Munsch on April 4, 1971, in Vermillion. In 1971, Toby and Dolly opened Toby's Lounge in Meckling.

He was a member of the South Sioux City Eagles Club for more than 50 years.

Survivors include his wife, Dolly of Vermillion; three sons, Clark Larson of Meckling, Stephen Williams of Elizabeth, Colo., and Scott Abbott of Vermillion; two daughters, Theresa (Robert) Yanak of Barstow, Calif., and Deb Larson of Vermillion; three sisters, Darlene Jepsen of Meckling, Betty Nelson of Vermillion, and Marilynne Kaiser of Meckling; nine grandchildren, Dawn Hartzler, Derek Yanak, Aaron Larson, Brandi Wyatt, Michael Larson, Stephanie Williams, Megan Deaver, Kaitlin and Madison Abbott; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Verlyn.
