MRS. P. S. SCOTT IS DEAD AT 78

Mrs. Jezzie Gilbert Scott, 78, of 21 Sirrine St., Monaghan, died Wednesday at 11:20 p.m. at her home after being in declining health for five years and seriously ill two weeks.
She was the wife of the late Pierce S. Scott.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Allie Farrow, Mrs. Almer Power and Miss Elpie Scott of Greenville; one son, Delmer Scott of Greenville; two sisters, Mrs. Ailer Girardeau of Greenville and Mrs. Mary Bryson of Fresno, California; two brothers, John T. and Hawthorne Gilbert of Greenville; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Scott was a member of Monaghan Baptist Church.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jezzie Gilbert Scott, widow of Pierce S. Scott, will be conducted by Rev. Roy R. Gowan and Rev. Jasper Kelley at 3 p.m. Saturday at Jones Funeral Home. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Scott had been seriously ill two weeks and she died at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday at her home, 21 Sirrine Street, Monaghan.
A native of Greenville County and a daughter of the late Monroe and Emma Rogers Gilbert, she lived for 30 years in Monaghan community.
Mrs. Scott was a member of Monaghan Baptist Church.
After 10 a.m. today the body will be at the home.
Jones Funeral Home is in charge.
