MONROE GILBERT IS DEAD; BURIAL TODAY
Monroe Gilbert died at his home on the Paris Mountain Road at 6 o'clock yesterday afternoon, after an illness of five weeks. Mr. Gilbert is survived by Montie T., John Thomas, Matthew Hawthorne, and Jerry Gilbert and four daughters, Mrs. Sam Bryson (Mary), Mrs. Cicero Ward (Letha), Mrs. Pierce J. Scott (Jezzie), and Mrs. George Girardeau (Ailer).
Funeral services will be held from Mountain Creek Church this afternoon at 4 o'clock. Rev. Mr. Howard officiating. Interment will be in Mountain Creek Cemetery.
