Born in Madison Twp.,Ohio, USA on 19 Jul 1821 to Asa Talcott and Leona Caroline Newcomb. Eunice Euphrasia Talcott married Philander Davis in 1843 and had 10 children. She passed away on 27 Dec 1897 in Alpha,Fayette county, Iowa, USA.
The town of Alpha was built on the Philander Davis estate,Eunice Davis chose it's name,Alpha.

Although no formal obituary has been found yet,careful reading of the newspapers in the area,from 1890 when her husband Philander Davis died,up until January 9, 1898 when her funeral was mentioned in the West Union Gazette.Her illnesses,visitors,mentions of her as grandma Davis,and finally a mention of her death was found in December of 1897.No proof of a grave marker for the couple has been found.
