Phyllis (Kumetis) Hansen, 84, of Old Saybrook, Connecticut, beloved wife of Bob Hansen, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 13, 2019.
Born on July 13, 1934 in New Britain, Connecticut, she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Kumetis.
She was predeceased by both her parents, as well as her sisters, Nell, Annie, Elizabeth, and Ella,
She leaves behind her husband Bob, daughters Karie Hansen-Blaha and Elaine Hansen, son Rob Hansen, son-in-law Gregg Blaha, daughter-in-law Deb McKenna, son-in-law Frank Theodore, as well as several grandchildren and a great granddaugher.

Phyllis and Bob were married for 60 years. They spent their life together in Richmond, Virginia, Newington, Wethersfield, and Old Saybrook, Connecticut, with a brief stopover in Bonita Springs, Florida.
They eventually moved back to Old Saybrook a few years ago.
She became a volunteer for over twenty years at the Newington Children's Hospital.
She was an avid bowler, a member of the Portland Women's Golf Association and the Wethersfield Tennis Club.

Funeral services were held at Swan Funeral Home, Old Saybrook, with burial following at Riverside Cemetery.
