Victor McCubbins, 84, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Richard Parker of Hudgins, at 6:30 a.m. Thursday [April 1, 1954]. He had been in ill health for some time. The son of Lige McCubbins and Elizabeth Martis, he was born March 1, 1870. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 2 at the Aetna Grove Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Nobel Cottrell will have charge of the services. Surviving are 5 children, Mrs. Beulah Bennett, Mrs. Ova Beam, Mrs. Beatrice Parker, and Claud McCubbins all of Hudgins and Mrs. Thelma Vaughn of Louisville.
