GREEN COUNTY KENTUCKY OBITUARY – 1981
Mr. Claude E. McCubbin, son of the late Mr. Victor McCubbin & Mrs. Lillie Sublett McCubbin, was born September 12, 1895 in Larue Co., KY and departed this life at 1:05 a.m. Sunday, March 8, 1981 at the Methodist Hospital in Louisville. He was 85 years, 5 months and 26 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ when he was 26 years of age and united with the Aetna Grove Baptist Church where he remained a member until his death. He united in marriage to Miss Lura May Goff December 4, 1921, who survives. To this union were born 1 daughter and 2 sons: Mrs. Lillie Ellen Bean, Louisville; Everett McCubbin, Summersville; and Gene McCubbin, Louisville. Mr. McCubbin is also survived by 1 sister: Mrs. Beatrice Parker, Hendersonville, TN; 6 grandchildren: Carol Ann Rose, Greensburg; Patty McCubbin, Nashville; Paul Blakeman, Norfolk, VA; Donnie McCubbin, Summersville; Sherry McClain, Mt. Washington and Kim Phelps, Albuquerque, NM; 3 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 1981 with burial in the Aetna Grove Cemetery. Rev. Randy Smith officiated. Pallbearers were: Ches Hall, Willie Warren, Wilbert Bennett, William Lewis Warren, Morris Goff and Marson Ray Scott.
