Missing

Mrs. Dorothy Weiler, 22, daughter of Mrs. Pearl Wright, Adams block, has been missing since June 16 when she broke away from her mother near the Manhattan Cafe with the declaration she intended to jump in the river.

She was divorced four months ago from George Weiler, residing in New York, and was awarded custody of their infant sons, 2 and 1. She had been residing with her grandmother, Mrs. H.S. Wright, 1212 Idaho St.

The missing woman is a medium blonde, 5 ft. 1 in. tall and weighs 118. When last seen she was wearing Levis, a red checked jacket, white sports shirt, bobby sox and white mocassins and her hair was down in curls.

The mother said Mrs. Weiler had pawned her wedding ring and had only a small amount of change in her pocket when she disappeared, running toward the Snake River.

Missing Housewife Still A Mystery

Two years ago yesterday, Mrs. Dorothy Weiler, young Lewiston housewife, disappeared. Today her disappearance is still cloaked in mystery and despite an intensive search by law enforcement officials no trace has been found of her.

Mrs. Weiler broke away from her mother on June 16, 1947, while they were walking down Main Street. She ran toward the interstate bridge, after threatening to throw herself in the river.

The case is still open on police books and officials indicated yesterday that the search, although slowed, was still on.
