"John Richardson, aged thirty-five years, a son of former Village President Thomas H. Richardson, died yesterday afternoon at his residence, 24 Swan Street, after an illness of three weeks with typhoid fever. The deceased was well known and highly respected in the village, where he was born, and his death was a sudden blow to his friends. He was a member of the McGowan Hose Company, and held the offices of secretary and trustee in that organization. Mr. Richardson is survived by a widow and three children. At the meeting of the McGowan Hose Company last evening Capt. Louis Laut, William Dommer and Charles Lowndes were appointed a committee to draft resolutions. A delegation of members of the company will attend the funeral, which will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Presbyterian church."
