The Rev. John P. Allison, 79, of 2412 S. 15th St., died at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital early today following a short illness.
He had served as a pastor in several United Bretheren congregations in Kansas and United Methodist congregations in Lime Ridge, Lark and most recently at Cascade.
He retired in 1961 and moved to Sheboygan three years ago.
He was born in Kansas City, Kansas, Jan. 25, 1896 a son of the late William and Anna Allison.
On Oct. 29, 1916 he married Nelle Morton in Arkansas.
He was a graduate of Elim Bible Collage, Rochester, N.Y.
The Rev. Mr. Allison was a member of Fountain Park United Methodist Church here.
Surviving are his widow; three sons, Lute of Chilton, Rolland of Pewaukee and James of Forest Park, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Hyatt (Betty) Moore of Palos Verdes, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; a brother, Paul, Houston, Tex., and three sisters, Mrs. Marion Butler of Pittsburg, Kansas, Mrs. Judy Amundson of Prairie View, Texas, and Mrs. Olive Deltenre of Burnette, Tex.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral services will be at Fountain Park United Methodist church, the Rev. Owen Miller, pastor, officiating.
