Lute P. Allison age 83 of Sheboygan, formerly of Chilton died on Wednesday August 9, 2006 at his home in Sheboygan.
He was born September 21, 1922 in Southwest City, MO son of the late John & Nelle (Morton) Allison. Lute married Eleanor O'Neill on December 13, 1943 in Waldo Kansas. Following graduation from high school, Lute attended York College in York, NE and Kansas State University. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII in the Pacific Theater. Lute also worked for Allis-Chalmers in Twin Falls, ID and later moved to Chilton where he worked for the Carnation Milk Company and the Calumet Homestead.
He was a member of Ebenezer UCC, the Chilton American Legion, the VFW where he was a past post commander and volunteered extensively at the Ledgeview Nature Center. He also enjoyed metal work and metal sculpting.
Survivors include his wife: Eleanor; 3 children: (names withheld); a daughter-in-law: (name withheld); 10 grandchildren: (names withheld); 10 great grandchildren: (names withheld); a sister: Betty (Hyatt) Moore of Palos Verdes Estates, CA; a brother: Jim Allison of Tigard, OR; and a sister-in-law: Johanna Allison.
Lute was also preceded in death by a son: Sam Allison; 4 brothers: Gale, Max, Earl, Rolland; and a sister-in-law: Juanita O'Neill. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday August 12, 2006 at Ebenezer UCC in Chilton with the Rev. Kathy Gloff officiating. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM when services will be held. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Nicholas Home Health Services for all of their loving care.
