The infant was laid to rest in the family vault at the Protestant Burying Ground known as Saint John's street cemetery, outside the Walls at 755 rue St-Jean, Quebec City (later known as Saint Matthew's Churchyard)
According to records held in the office of Mount Hermon Cemetery, in October 1868 many of the Sewell family burials were exhumed from St Matthew's and re-interred in Plot W-463 at Mount Hermon.
