Caldwell — Services for Gerald L. (Jerry) Milegar, 51, of 1506 Rim View Dr, Caldwell, who died Thursday morning at his home after an illness, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell by Rev. Victor Schulze, Parma Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Jerry was born 10 Mar 1921 at Edgar, Neb., where he was reared and attended school. He came to Caldwell at the age of 16, and worked for Vermas Transfer Co. He was a Veteran of World War II. He married Elsie C. Odermott on 4 July 1847 at Winnemucca. They settled in Caldwell and he continued to work for Vermas Transfer Co., which he later purchased and operated. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1448, the Caldwell Bowling Association, was a past president of the Men's Golfing Association, past president of the Caldwell Exchange Club, a member of the Idaho Mover's Conference, and a member of the Idaho Golf Association.
Survivors are his wife, Caldwell; a daughter, Mrs. Dee Maughan, Caldwell; four brothers, Ralph and Ray Mileger, both of Edgar, Bill Mileger, Wenatachee, Wash., and Harold Mileger, Caldwell; four sisters, Mrs. Alma Smith, Clay Center, Neb., Mrs. Evelyn Foutz, Prescott, Mich., Mrs. Edith Abbott, North Hollywood, CA, and Mrs. Faye Frude, Fraize Park, CA; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A brother and four sisters preceded him in death.
