Mrs. Martin was born on November 11, 1926 in Sibley, the daughter of Calvin Thompson, Sr. and Sarah Galmore Thompson. She was educated at the Deerpark School in Sibley. Clara was a retired domestic worker for John and Betty Callon. Mrs. Martin was a member of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church where she served with the Mother’s Board, Co-Worker’s Club and Missionary Society. She also held membership with the Order of Eastern Stars-Queen Ann Grand Chapter. Clara enjoyed reading, watching the Atlanta Braves, Wheel of Fortune and Steve Harvey.
