Lawrence W. Pfeiffer, age 43, of 1000 Canterbury Drive, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 2, 1970, at an Oshkosh hospital. He was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on October 27, 1926, and was a graduate of West High School and the University of Wisconsin, in Madison. Mr. Pfeiffer was employed by the Wisconsin Public Service, in Green Bay. He was transferred to Merrill in 1959 for four and a half years and later went to Oshkosh for six years as a gas and electrical superintendent with the firm. He was a professional engineer and a member of the Green Bay Packers Board of Directors, Kiwanis Club, the school board of Oshkosh and other civic organizations.
Survivors include: his wife, the former Jean Reimer, formerly of Green Bay; four children, Susan, Patti, Michael and John, all at home; his father, C.H. Pfeiffer, of Green Bay; a brother, John W. Pfeiffer, of Covington, Kentucky; and four sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Rita) Bourassa, of Hales Corners, Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy) Cardiff, of Omaha, Nebraska, Mrs. Robert (Thea) Chiles, of Vandalia, Ohio, and Mrs. Kevin (JoAnn) Hogan, of Green Bay.
Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. today at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Avenue. The wake service is at 8:00 p.m. tonight. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Saint Patrick Church. Rev. Donald Schneider will officiate. Burial will be at Allouez Cemetery.
