According to A. Frank Geist's book written in 1940, "The Geist Relation - 200 Years in America", Christopher and his wife Ann lived in Frederick Township. They bought land from James Brooks and David Evans containing 52 1/2 acres. He was a weaver and was an invalid, unable to serve with his brothers in the War of the Revolution, and he died in 1782. His wife Ann and brother Conrad who he left his land to, sold it to Peter Reifsnyder, who in turn sold it to John Geist on April 8, 1783, Christopher's brother, bringing the property back to the Geist family. According to the author, Christopher Geist had no children.
