Ruby Angelina Redfearn Faddis Weatherford Evans was born in Greenleaf, Oklahoma, on January 18, 1924 to Ulysses S. Grant Redfearn and Olive Reatha Cook. She was a resident of Fort Gibson since 1946. Ruby went to be with our Lord on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the age of 94 years, 11 months and 19 days. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great- great grandmother. She was proud of her 5 generations and when the family was gathered, she would lovingly joke “look what I started”. She was a faithful member of Calvary Faith Pentecostal Church in Fort Gibson for 61 years. She served in many capacities from door greeter to organizing church dinners. She was well known for her peanut brittle, pies and chicken & dumplings and her passion for singing.

She married Norman Elmer Faddis in May 1941 until his death while serving his country overseas on December 1, 1944. They were blessed with two daughters.

Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters and their husbands, Billie & Jimmy Bradley of Fort Gibson, OK and Patricia & Richard Ramsey of Neosho, MO; three siblings, James Redfearn of Sand Springs, OK, Louise Bradshaw of Broken Arrow, OK, and Fannie (Sammy) Fallen of Muskogee, OK; five grandchildren; LeAnn (Paul) Killman of Muskogee, OK, Norma (Alan) Cooper and Michael Bradley all of Fort Gibson, OK, Rick (Michelene) Ramsey of Springfield, MO and Steve (Sarah) Ramsey of Corsicana, TX; sixteen great grandchildren, Adrienne (Tim) Berres, Evan (Leigh) Cooper, Brittany (Kevin) Cooper, Carrigan Bradley and Haddison Bradley all of Fort Gibson, OK, Mallory (Cody) Cook of Portage, Indiana, Olivia Ramsey and Landers Ramsey both of Springfield, MO, Silas, Elijah, Noah, Ava, Lucy, Jonas, Maribelle, & Peter Ramsey all of Corsicana, TX; 10 great-great grandchildren, Gabe and Ben Berres, Remington and Taylor Cooper, Paige, Cheyenne and Ty Cooper all of Fort Gibson, OK, Jameson, Ireland and McKinley Cook all of Portage, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband’s Norman Faddis in December 1944, Dewey Weatherford in June 1955 and Albert Evans in December 1983; longtime friend Ray Clinkenbeard; five sisters, Anna, Jewell, Edith, Edna and Effie; twelve brothers; Oscar, Fred, Willard, Silas, Elmer, Paul, Floyd, infant twin boys, Sidney, Dwayne and Billy Ray.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson with the family receiving friends 5PM-7PM.

Funeral services for Ruby will be held 10:00AM Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Calvary Faith Pentecostal Church in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma with Rev. Don Reed and Pastor Fred Huffman officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in the Citizen Cemetery in Fort Gibson with Ruby’s grandsons and great-grandsons serving as casket bearers.
