Colie Cohen Jr. of Wellford, SC, passed on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.
Son of the late Colie and Josephine Cohen; husband of Mamie Jay Cohen for over 61 years.
A member of the Greater Hopewell Baptist Church, served on the Deacon Board, taught Sunday School, and joined the Silver Lake Masonic Lodge #388 in 1961 for a total of 57 years.
During his spare time, he enjoyed working in the yard, reading the Bible, and studying his Sunday School Lesson. Additionally, he and his wife always traveled and did things together.
Others left to cherish fond and loving memories include his sons, Steve (Kamaka) Cohen and Colie Junior Cohen; daughter, Teresa (Sidney) Ferguson; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Calvin (Rachel) Cohen and Bessie Mae (Wilbert)Taylor; along with a host of other family and friends.
Also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alicia Cohen; and sisters Dorothy A. Smith and Marie McFadden.
The funeral service was held at 2:30 pm, Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Greater Hopewell Baptist Church; burial in Westwood Memorial Gardens.
