Julane was born March 1, 1931, in Pauline, NE to Clarence & Minnie (Waechter) Frahm. She graduated from Blue Hill High School in 1949. Julane married Eldon Willems on September 1, 1951; they had 2 daughters. She worked at Marquardt's Meat Market and Johnny’s Café in Blue Hill, and Melvin Kailey’s in Hastings. Julane also was a seamstress. On December 7, 1956, Eldon Willems was killed in a car accident in Lincoln.
Julane and her daughters moved back to Blue Hill where the girls were raised. On June 6, 1960, Julane married Robert Kathman and they made their home in and around Hastings; he preceded her in death with cancer on February 1, 1999. She married Merlin “Benny” Meyer on September 28, 2001; he preceded her in death in 2009.
Julane was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Eldon Willems, Robert Kathman, and Merlin Meyer; brother and spouse, William & Lois Frahm; special friend, Shirley Rucker; and many other family members.
