Peggy A. Anders, 73, of 116 E. First St., Spring Valley, formerly of Granville, died at 1:10 a.m. Dec. 24, 1998, in St. Margaret's Hospital, Spring Valley.


Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in United Church of Christ, Granville. The Rev. Faye Gallegos will officiate. Cremation will take place after the service.


Visitation will be 7-9 tonight in Helmer-Shields Funeral Home, Granville.


Mrs. Anders was born March 25, 1925, in Bournemouth, England, to William and Lillian (Hibbard) Read. She married Willard "Andy" Anders on April 18, 1944, in Oxford, England.


She was a cook at Hopkins High School in Granville and also worked at Valerie's Touch of Glamour in Granville and the Granville Gift Shop.


She was a member of United Church of Christ in Granville.


Survivors include her husband, Willard Anders of Spring Valley; two sons, Louie Anders of Houston, Texas, and Michael Anders of Cincinnati, Ohio; one daughter, Heather (Leonard) Trovero of Bloomington; one sister, Barbara Rigler of Bournemouth; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
