Coy Lawrence, 89, beloved mother, was call to her eternal rest on December 29, 2018. She entered this world on March 10, 1929 in Ink, Arkansas, born to Henry, a World War I veteran, and Cordelia Whitehouse. Coy was one of seven children and grew up on a farm in Arkansas.

She married R. B. Lawrence when he returned from military service on September 6, 1946 and they lived happily together until his death in 1998. They moved to New Mexico in 1952 and had three children.

She was passionate about her family and especially her children. She instilled in them character, integrity, responsibility, and a profound love for God and country. She was always loads of fun and the world's best cook. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and having her family around her.

These scripture verses found in Proverbs 31:25-28 (KJV) best describe our Mother:
Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

She is survived by her sister, Faye Gonzales; her son, Larry Lawrence; daughter, Carolyn Filkins, daughter, Linda Lawrence; grandson, Ronald Filkins; great-granddaughter, Kelsey Filkins; and great-great-granddaughter, Piper and many extended family members and friends.
