William Henry “Bill” Zwally was born April 1, 1938 and passed away December 24, 2018. He was born in Pensacola, FL to Walter and Ann Zwally. Bill spent his young days as a military child moving to many different places. He went to school in San Antonio and Kansas City. After school he played professional baseball for a farm team in Kansas City. He married Helen Floyd and they had a daughter, Vicki.

Bill then entered the Air Force and was assigned to Dover AFB in Delaware. He then married Mary Zwally. He trained to be an Air Craft Load Master and served as Load Master in 7 different aircraft for 34 years until he officially retired in 1992. During that time, Bill spent a lot of his flying time in Vietnam. On one trip, his aircraft was shot down and he was taken as a prisoner of war. Before he retired, he had logged over 9,000 flying hours with the Air Force.

After retiring from the Air Force, Bill met and married Ilene Warner. He decided to make his next move to over the road trucking. He purchased his new 1992 Freightliner and started traveling. Ilene enjoyed traveling with him often. He put 3 million accident-free miles on the Freightliner and then had an accident. He was not able to drive for two years. He went back on the road and finally retired from driving in 2014.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Connie; and brothers, Donnie and Jerry.

He is survived by his wife, Ilene Zwally; son, James Warner and wife, Mary; granddaughters, Bella and Lauren; son, Patrick Warner and wife, Linda; grandson Josh; granddaughter, Chelsea; and great-grandson, Hayden. He is also survived by daughter, Vicki Bagby and husband James; grandson, Greg Bagby; great-grandson, Scott; and great-granddaughter, Madison; grandson, Bryan Bagby; great-grandsons, Skyler, Bryson, and Kayden; and great-granddaughter, Serina; sisters, Joyce, Diane, Carol, Sandra and Leta; and brothers, Wayne and Jimmy.
