Ruby Martena “Marty” Yantz, 82, of Yantz Way, McVeytown, went to be with the Lord at 5:58 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

Born June 22, 1936, in Bristol, Okla., she was a daughter of the late Stuart and Ruby (Flood) Keys. Her husband of 62 years, Donnie G. Yantz, whom she married May 6, 1956, survives.

Also surviving are: a daughter, Susan J. Davis and husband, Howard, of Port Charlotte, Fla.; three siblings, Edwin Keys, of Petaluma, Calif., Carol Weston, of Pocatello, Idaho, and Kenneth Keys of Austin, Texas.

Preceding her in death was a daughter, Karen J. Yantz, on Nov. 11, 2017; a brother, Donald Keys; and a sister, Billie Keys.

She was employed in the procurement department of the University of Maryland and as a department head for the Retail Clerks International Union in Washington D.C.

Marty was a member of the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren and a member of the Cherokee Nation.

A talented artist, she enjoyed leatherwork, ceramics and clothing decoration.

Private services were held, with Pastor Randy Fiske officiating.

Harshbarger Funeral Home, McVeytown, is in charge of arrangements.
