'Billie' was born on 11 November 1931 to Stuart and Ruby Arizona Flud Keys in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, on the 'Eastern' Cherokee Nation land, being part Cherokee and Choctaw.

Billie was married first to Richard Eugene (birth name Dansby) Clarke and had two children, a daughter and son. They were later divorced.
With her husband in the military, the family traveled the world to places such as Hawaii and New Zealand.

Billie became a Registered Nurse, raising her children mostly by herself and with the help of one of her sisters. The family later moved to California to be with other family members, where she married George Sonafrank around 1965. With her two children and his three they made the best they could and had a loving family.

Billie worked as the head nurse at the Petaluma Valley Hospital, where she retired. Going by the book, she kept the other nurses in line, but they were appreciative of the proper instruction she gave them to become better than they dreamed they could be.

As a wife and mother, she was loving, creative and very understanding; always remembering that no one is perfect. As a daughter, aunt and sister, Billie was admired and loved.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents, husband and step-son, Jody. She is survived by her two children, two brothers, and two sisters; of which one brother has recently passed; 15 grandchildren and many friends.

MISSING YOU - by Tony Sonafrank

I woke up missing you this morning
Bad dreams and loneliness last night
As I lied there in that bed trying to get myself going
The tears started welling up in my eyes

I thought about the way you used to hold me
I thought about the way it was when you were well
I thought about your journey back to heaven
How the pain is gone and you are finally well

And I'm trying to get used to missing you
When no one's around I still call your name
I owe to you all I am and I'll ever be
The strength that you gave me will always remain

It's hard to believe that you never gave up on me
It's hard to believe that I ever made it this far
But you always said I could be anything that I wanted to be
As long as I kept on raising that bar

You taught me a thing or two about living
How to love, respect and those grown up things
I never realized I was raised by an angel
Until god showed up and gave you back your wings

And I'm trying to get used to missing you
When no one's around I still call your name
I owe to you all I am and will ever be
The strength that you gave me will always remain
