She taught school in Hopeville as a substitue, worked for Armours in Creston and other various jobs. She married Carl Jennings, who died in 1936. She married Merle Lewis . He died in 1991. She had 7 children; Richard,Darrell(Patricia),Luetta Klos, Earla(Kenneth)Clark,Mary Lou Crouse, Donald(Linda),and Merlene(Clifford)Rynearson. 2 brothers, Cecil Beaman, and Owen.
