Luetta Klos, 77, of Afton died May 21, 2008, at Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston.
Luetta Klos, daughter of Grace Irene (Beaman) and Carl Jennings, was born Jan. 20, 1931, in Clarke County near Hopeville. After the death of her father, Luetta was raised by her mother and stepfather Merle Lewis. She attended Hopeville and Murray schools.
Luetta married Irvin Froit and they later divorced. On Oct. 9, 1958, she married Robert Earl Klos in Omaha, Neb.
Luetta lived in the Afton and Arispe areas all of her adult life. She worked as a nurse aide many years at Eblen Nursing Home in Afton. She was affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
Luetta is survived by her children, Linda (husband Harvey) VanHeeswyk of Afton, Douglas Froit , Edward Froit and Ronda (husband Jim) Klos-McIntosh, all of Creston, and Debora Hudson of Des Moines; brothers, Darrel (wife Pat) Jennings and Donald (wife Linda) Jennings, all of Lorimor; sisters, Mary Lou Crouse of Council Bluffs, Earla (husband Ken) Clark of Arispe and Merlene (husband Clifford) Rynearson of Lorimor; four grandchildren, Rob (wife Robin) VanHeeswyk of Pleasant Hill, Regina (husband Brent) Lumpkin of Springfield, Mo., and Michael (wife Kari) Hudson and Daniel Froit, all of Afton, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Luetta was preceded in death by her parents and husband in 1993.
