Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Lee Wright Norwood, 85, of Winnsboro, will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home, with Rev. John Norwood officiating and Rev. Tommy Bosco assisting. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Norwood was born on June 10, 1933 in Jigger, LA and passed from this life on December 20, 2018 in Winnsboro, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents, R. L. Wright, SR and Cora Jane Davis Wright; husband, Allen Theodore Norwood, SR; son, Larry Wayne Norwood; daughter, Debbie Campbell; sisters, Ruby Gene Gaulden and Keitha Ellerbe; and brothers, Vernon Wright and Buddy Wright.
She is survived by her children: son, Michael Norwood and wife Sue of Olla, LA; daughter, Diane Hodges and husband Glenn of Shreveport, LA; son, Teddy Norwood and wife Sunday of Winnsboro, LA; daughter, Janet Stone and husband Roger of Arkansas; son, Jimmy Norwood and wife Lisa of Gilbert, LA; and daughter, Katie Norwood of Winnsboro, LA; brothers, Garvin Wright and wife Ada of Winnsboro, LA and R. L. Wright, JR and wife Maxine of Liddieville, LA; and sisters, Viola Guice of Winnsboro, LA, Faye Lyons of Homedale, ID and Carolyn Guillot and husband Bufurd of Ft. Necessity, LA. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
