John Vianco, 54, well known resident of Delphi, died Saturday night at 11:45 p. m. at St. Elizabeth hospital, Lafayette. Mr. Vianco had been ill for a little over a week.
Born here August 29, 1894, he was the son of Frank and Mary (Scarff) Vianco. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion.
Surviving with the widow, the former Mary Sagers, are two children; Mrs. Ross Anderson of Prescott, Ark., and Robert, at home, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vianco of Delphi; one brother, William Vianco of Delphi; three sisters, Mrs. William Coomey, Delphi;, Mrs. Bruce Briggs of Gary and Mrs. Jack Norris of Kokomo.
Funeral rites were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the Patrick Mortuary with the Rev. Wilbur V. Day of South Bend officiating. Burial was in Masonic cemetery. The military rites at the cemetery were in charge of Harry Bohannon Post, No. 75, American Legion.
