Lillie was born in Barry Co, MO to Benjamin D. Logan and Sarah Elizabeth Hood. She married at the age of 14 to Wm. "Allen" Hembree. She had 13 children. Lillie died in Springfield, Greene Co, MO.
Her obituary says Lillie was born in Reeds Spring, however she appears that she was probably born in Barry County and her family moved shortly after her birth. She died in the Baptist Hospital in Springfield. According to her granddaughter, H. Louise (Duncan) Mello, Lillie had gone blind by the late 1950s or very early 1960s. Louise also stated that Lillie's daugher, Effie, took care of her in last years.
