Mary Helen (Anderson) Tam, born on June 1, 1925. Local Wilmette businesswoman for over 40 years. Founding member of The Wilmetter Harbor Rotary Club and owner of Tighe Realty Co., Wilmette, IL. Mary Tam was a lifetime member of the North Shore - Barrington Association of Realtors for 49 years (1963-2012) She was one of the first members of the MLS system. Mary was also a longtime member of the MSB Professional Standards Ethics Committee. Beloved wife of the late Galen Eugene Tam; dear mother of Charmaine Tam, Rev. Timothy (Lisa Marie) Tam, Monty Tam, Christine Tam, Ginger Tam, and the late Geoffery; loving grandmother of Cara (Justin) Young, Joshua Tam, Nathaniel Tam and Amelia Tam; great-grandmother of Silas Young; fond sister of Winona Ruth Gunter, Martha Wenz, Lois Bridges, and Josephine (David) Lottes and her twin, the late Margaret Goffe; sister-in-law of Mary Lou Anderson, Oleta Tam, and Tom Goffe. Visitation was held Friday, May 31, from 6-8 p.m. at the Wm H. Scott Funeral Home, 1100 Greenleaf Ave. Wilmette. Memorial took place on Saturday, June 1, 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Wilmette, 600 9th St. Wilmette. Private interment Pleasant Run Cemetery, Delphi, IN.
