MONTICELLO-Mrs. Gladys A. Anderson, 79, 401 W. Jefferson St., died Saturday morning at her home. She had been ill several months. Born in White County June 6, 1894, she was the daughter of Canni and Ida Wickersham Arrick. She was married June 11,1913, to Dr. J.H.A. Anderson, who died May 29, 1941. She was a lifetime resident of Carroll and White counties, and once served as a Welcome Wagon hostess. A lifetime member of Monticello Presbyterian Church,
she was a member of United Presbyterian Women, White County Chorus, Woodlawn Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, the Republican Women's Club and the Indiana Veterinary Medicine Auxiliary.
Survivors include four sons, Raymond Anderson and Dr. Arthur A. Anderson, both of Monticello, Wayne C., Rt. 1, Monticello, and Dr. Robert Hance Anderson, Lake Mills, Wisc.; eight daughters, Mrs. Mabel L. Peck, Pittsburg, Kans., Mrs. W. Ruth Gunther, Solano Beach, Calif., Mrs. Mary H. Tarn, Wilmette, Ill., Mrs. Martha J. Wenz, Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Lois A. Bridges, North Salem, Ind., and Mrs. Esther Gladys Brothers, Mrs. Margaret E. Goffe and Mrs. Josephine E. Lottes, all of Monticello; one brother, Hervey, Monticello; one sister, Mrs. Winona A. Cayvan, Grand Rapids, Mich.; 47 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren. One grandson preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Monticello Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Wallace McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Run Cemetery. Friends may call at Miller Funeral Home after 3 pjn. Monday. Memorial contributions
