Pamela Elaine Ellis, age 62 of Rockdale, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 in the Scott & White Hospital in Round Rock.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 23, 2017 in Springfield Baptist Church in Rockdale. Burial in the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale. Pastor Dennis Brooks, Sr. of New Jerusalem Christian Center in Rockdale to officiate.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the funeral home.
William Monroe and Seewillow (Colvin) Jackson welcomed their daughter Pamela into the Jackson family on July 3, 1954 in Rockdale where she lived all of her life.
She was a graduate of Rockdale High School Class of 1972. On May 27, 1998, she and Arthur Leon Ellis were married in Cameron. She was a homemaker and member of Springfield Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father William Monroe Jackson on August 23, 1971; her mother Seewillow Jackson on October 17, 1990; three sisters, Essie Marie Davis, Evelyn Moultrie and Mae Joyce Cashaw; two brothers, John Ervin Jackson and William Monroe Jackson, Jr.; and step son, Antonavis Morris.
Surviving are her husband of 18 years, Arthur Leon Ellis of Rockdale; brother, Larry Noble Jackson and wife Sandra of Austin; two sisters, Seewillow Avis Norwood of Temple and Sandra Lou Richards of Rockdale; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers are a friend, classmate and her nephews, George Harold Grayson Jr., Samuel Moultrie, Tyrone Jackson, Gregory Sculark, Bobby Joe Tindle and Leonard Charles Wesley.
Honorary Pallbearers are Tayron Jackson, Kenneth Wesley, Charles Cashaw, George H Grayson Sr. and Calvin Jones.
