Lebanon - Dunbar, Ralph E., 97, passed away peacefully November 6, 2018 at his home at Lebanon Otterbein Senior Living, surrounded by his devoted family. He will be missed by so many, but especially by his beloved wife, Gloria J. Dunbar, wife of 77 years. Ralph is also survived by 5 loving children: Diana Brown (Moto) of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Mark Dunbar (Sherry) of Tulsa, Ok.; Susan Dunbar of West Chester, Oh; Roger Dunbar (Maria) of Centerville, OH & Laurel Bohlander (Vern) of West Chester, OH. Ralph will also be missed by his 18 beautiful grandchildren and 19 energized great grandchildren as well as close friends, Becky Dunbar, Peggy Murphy and countless more. Ralph attended Central H.S. in Columbus and played saxophone with his friends in a band while also enjoying learning to play piano. He served in the Army in W.W. II in the Pacific as a Tech Sergeant. After returning home, he went on to follow in his Father's footsteps and worked at REA Express and later Roadway Express trucking companies. He and his wife, Jeanne, were two of the original founders of the Village Church, SDA in Mason, Ohio and have been faithful followers there for over 34 years. Ralph served as Head Deacon there for many years and served as needed and was considered their "jack of all trades". He loved working with his hands and owned about 523 tools, as he enjoyed woodworking and helping people with home repairs. There wasn't a tool he didn't love. One of his hobbies that he enjoyed was being a huge miniature train enthusiast. Everyone who knew Ralph was aware of his big heart and generous nature. If anyone needed help, Ralph was there. He held a Volunteer job at Bethesda North Hospital for over 20 years. 1000 Cheers for this man who graced this earth for 97 years. Visitation will be held from 2 - 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11 at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Rd. Mason, Ohio 45040. Service will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 12, at Village Church SDA, 8936 Mason-Montgomery Rd. Mason, Ohio. Interment at 2 p.m. at Green Lawn Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio on Veterans Day, Nov 12, 2018. To send a condolence, or to sign the online guestbook, visit muellerfunerals.com
