Mrs. Haynes was born in Gladden, October 1, 1885, the daughter of Edward and Nana Ferris Kelly. She was a member of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church and the Philathea Class of the church.
She had been a resident of Canonsburg for 55 years and was the widow of Charles H. Haynes, who died October 9, 1959.
Surviving are three sons, Thomas E. and Chester S., of Canonsburg, Charles, East Orange, New Jersey; two daughters, Mary, wife of Albert Burnes, Dravosburg, Elmyra, wife of Wilber Wayman, Lorraine, Ohio. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Hallie Gates, Mt. Lebanon.
