Charles Henry Haynes, Jr., 63, of Roselle Park N.J., formerly of Canonsburg, died Wednesday, October 10, at 4:00 a.m. at his home following a lengthy illness.
He was born May 17, 1910 at McKees Rocks, the son of the late Charles Henry Haynes and Ada Kelley Haynes Sr.
Mr. Haynes, of the Presbyterian faith, was retired.
He served as sergeant in the 28th division in World War II. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are his wife Jennie; two step daughters; Mrs. Arlene M. Silva, St. Petersburg, Fla,, Miss Susan D. Watson at home; one brother, Thomas Haynes of Canonsburg; two sisters: Mrs. Mary Burns, West Mifflin, and Mrs. Elmyra Waymen of Lorain Ohio; and one grand-daughter.
Deceased are two brothers Chester and Allen and one sister Doris.
