Lela Rovetto, 97, of Lewiston, passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, due to age-related causes. She was born Sept. 22, 1921, in Pomeroy to Milton E. Jones and Viola Morgan Jones.

Our mom was a wonderful person. She was firm in our raising, and when we were not doing what we should, she could put us in our place and back on task with just one look. Mom was a hard worker. She worked as a waitress/cook for years. Later, she worked for the Pepsi-Cola plant. She owned Maxine Cafe in North Lewiston for a lot of years, then went to work at Omark in the plastic department and retiring around 1984.

Lela had three children with her previous husband, Lawrence Jones. She raised them on her own.

After her children moved out and were on their own, she met and married Angelo Rovetto. They were married June 16, 1965. He gave our mother a very good life. Mom enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, and snowmobiling. When mom was in her later years and needed help, Donna was there for her care until she passed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Viola Jones; sisters Bernice, Aline Frogthinger and Alta Drader; brother Wayne Jones and son Lonnie R. Jones.

No services are planned at this time. Love and miss you.
