Robert Lee Barker, Age 87 passed away on October 30, 2018, surrounded by his family in Price. Robert was born in Wellington, Utah on May 25, 1931 to Ted Lee and Elizabeth Jorgenson Barker.
Robert served in the US Army, spending 12 months in Korea. He was honorably discharged, and received the Bronze Star Medal. He came home from the service to marry his wife Emma Jean Adams on February 13, 1954. He began working for U.S. Steel Geneva mine where he spent 31 years. He loved his family, farming, raising cattle, playing cards, spending time in Cow Canyon, drinking coffee, watching the sun come up, and bragging about his grandkids.
Robert is survived by two sons and one daughter; Kenneth Barker, Keith (Mitzi) Barker, of Wellington, Utah; and Kayrene (John) Anselmo also of Wellington, Utah. He is also survived by a brother; Verdis (Pauline) Barker of Price, Utah. He is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, parents, brother Gearld and Grandma Edur.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 12 noon at the Wellington City Cemetery. Friends may meet at the cemetery.
