Deputy Governor of Rhode Island 1769-1775. He shielded the conspirators of the notorius Gaspee Affair from punishment and kept the Rhode Island Charter intact.

Son of Nathaniel Sessions and Joanna (Corbin) Sessions.

He married Sarah Antram on May 26,1750 at Pomfret,CT.

Children: Mary Sessions, Sarah Sessions, Anne Sessions, William Sessions, Darius Sessions, George Sessions, Elizabeth Sessions, Amey Sessions, Nathaniel Sessions, and Col. Thomas Sessions.
