St. Joseph, Mo. ---- Mrs. Dawn A. Matthew, 70, St. Joseph, died Saturday, Sept. 27, at a St. Joseph hospital after a short illness.
She was born Aug. 31, 1916, at Topeka, Kan., the daughter of Ray M. and Nella Parker Grice. She lived in St. Joseph the past 20 years.

Mrs. Matthew was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in St. Joseph.

Her husband, Harry M. Matthews, died in 1984.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Judy L. Moore, St. Joseph, and Mrs. Leslie R. Bremer, Oberlin, Kan.; a sister, Mrs. Bonnie J. Purnell, Topeka; an aunt with whom she lived several years, Mrs. Lelah Branner, St. Joseph; and three granddaughters.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Meierhoffer-Fleeman Funeral Home in St. Joseph. Entombment services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Mount Hope Mausoleum at Topeka. The family will meet with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
