Mrs. Nellie Elizabeth (Williams) Gilbar, 78, widow of Clarence Gilbar, died this morning in Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. She had been a resident of Wilmington for nearly 25 years. Funeral services will be conducted at the Covey Funeral Home Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. J. Reginald Martin will officiate and burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. She was born in Abbots Corner, P.Q., Feb. 13, 1885, a daughter of William and Ann N Williams. Her marriage to Mr. Gilbar took place in 1903 in Richford. Mr. Gilbar died about five years ago and his widow had made her home here with her daughter, Mrs. Alfred Poupart, Jr., and Mr. Poupart. Surviving besides her daughter are five sons, Mahlon of Winchester, N.H., Merrill of Fort Myers, Fla., Gerold of Tewksbury, Mass., Douglas of Canton Center, Conn., and Gordon of North Strafford, N.H. A daughter, Mrs. Hazel Sparks, died in 1961. There are 29 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
