She was born in Birmingham, Al. March 27, 1935 to Robert Strange French and Evelyn Brazelton French.
The family moved quite often, and by the time she entered the 4th grade in Atlanta, Ga., she had lived in Birmingham Al., Philadelphia Pa., Baltimore Md, Long Island NY., and Westport, Conn.
She graduated from North Fulton High School in Atlanta in 1953, and attended Auburn University from i953 to winter quarter 1954. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority.
In June of 1955, Ann married Walter Graham, who she had met on a blind date at Auburn. He was commissioned in the Army, and they spent two years between Ft. Knox Ky., and Fort Benning, Ga. In 1957 they moved to Birmingham, Al. where they spent the next forty years.
During this time they raised four sons, who in turn gave us eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In 1997 we retired to St. Simons Island, Ga. Ann loved the outdoors. She enjoyed her flowers, and growing vegetables in her "grow boxes". She loved golf, and played in two LPGA Pro-Ams while in Birmingham. She also loved animals, and after their cruising days were over, they adopted two rescue Pomeranians, Tiger and Ms. Auburn.
