He was born on January 28, 1934 to James Russell Graham (1904-1985) and Pauline Espy Graham (1906-1992), in Birmingham, Alabama.
He graduated high school from Tennessee Military Institute before entering Auburn University. 1
Having met Alice Ann French (1935-2018), a student at Auburn, on a blind date the previous year, they were married in June of 1955 in Birmingham, Alabama.
Graduated from Auburn and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army; all in that same year.
It was in Birmingham where he reared their four sons.
He is survived by his sister, his brother, his sons and their families, he also leaves behind six great grandchildren.
Services at Christ Church on St. Simon's Island, and at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.
