Prentis Phillip Ball, 77, of Athens, died Saturday at his residence.
The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bobby Robinson and Steve Klein officiating. Burial will be in Dement Cemetery.
Mr. Ball was a native of Limestone County and a member of the Oakland Church of Christ. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the Army Medical Corps. He had worked with the Limestone County Commission.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Mae Newman Ball; a son, Phillip Ball; three sisters, Addie Belle Long, Naomi Garner and Wilma Dean Thomas; two brothers, Paul Howard Ball and Benton Blair Ball; two granddaughters and one grandson.
He was the son of Luther Meroney Ball and Brentie Virgil (Graham) Ball.
Prentis and Norma married 15 October 1949, Limestone Co, AL.
