Mary Lenore Jenkins Jorgenson Lloyd
Mary Lenore Lloyd, 93, passed away June 28, 2000 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born December 31, 1906 in Midvale, Utah to Joseph E. and Mary Ann Cook Jenkins.
Lenore married Laurence E. Jorgenson on February 21, 1928 in Nephi, Utah; he preceded her in death.
She married Daniel W. Lloyd in Elko, Nevada on May 11, 1953. Daniel also preceded her in death.
Lenore worked for many years at Walker Bank in Midvale as a bookkeeper. She and Laurence loved flying together and would often just get up and fly to Price, Utah for breakfast. Lenore was a member of the Midvale Ladies Auxiliary and the Murray Eagles Club. Some of her hobbies included crocheting and, to this day, her family and friends still enjoy her handiwork. She also took pleasure in doing ceramics.
Survivors: niece, Carol Healy (Larry), Taylorsville; nephews, Wallace Vernon Jenkins (Lou); and Jarrell Lee Jenkins; both Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by brother, Joseph Vernon Jenkins and an infant brother, David Eldon Jenkins.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2000 at 1 p.m. in the Midvale City Cemetery 7500 South 450 West. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State St. on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Lenore's family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the Rehabilitation Team and staff in the Rehab Unit at the Highland Care Center for their compassionate, loving and tender care.
