Phyllis J. Taylor, 81, of Lafayette, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Logansport Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born on May 7, 1937 in Lafayette, IN, the daughter of the late Charles O. and Mabel Ruth (Tribble) Ferguson. She was married to Thomas E. Taylor on August 2, 1957, who preceded her in death on June 11, 2009.

Phyllis was self-employed and cleaned several houses and businesses in the Lafayette area.

She enjoyed her retirement spending time working puzzles, coloring, reading, watching her soap operas, and cheering for the Purdue Boilermakers. She also had a special place in her heart for her pets.

She is survived by three daughters; three grandchildren;a step-granddaughter; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Phyllis was the youngest of eleven siblings, all of whom preceded her in death.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 with service to follow at 11:00 AM at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Entombment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
