Dorothy (Zink)(Herrick) Plummer age 104 passed away September 23, 2018 at Brookdale Assisted Living Center in Overland Park, after a long and wonderful life. Dorothy was born Sept. 16, 1914 near Hartford, KS, at the home of her parents James and Emmaline (Cline) Zink.

Celebration of life service will take place on Saturday Oct. 6, 2018 at Roberts Blue Barnett Funeral Home , Emporia, KS with visitation at 10:00 a.m. followed by service at 11:00. Internment will be at the Hartford Cemetery at a later date.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands Glen Herrick in 1968 and Forrest Plummer in 1982. Dorothy was the youngest and last surviving sibling in a family of fifteen children, three of which were Centenarians at the time of their passing.

She is survived by her three sons: Ken (Alice)Herrick of Emporia, Fran (Cheryl) Herrick and Gary (Vicki) Herrick of Olathe, KS, seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by four step-children: Ben ( Jean) Plummer, Kay Hall, Al (Bonnie) Plummer, June ( Ron) Ford, and their families.

Regrettably her final moment was not as she had hoped. She always hoped her last moment would be at the bowling alley or preferably on the dance floor.
