Payette Valley Matron Passes

Mrs. Frances Lockhart, for many years a Payette resident and for the past nine months has been residing with her daughter, Mrs. R. N. Alters at New Plymouth, passed away on Sunday at the Holy Rosary hospital following an illness of several months duration.

Frances Ellen Lockhart, 80, was born October 23, 1867 at Moulton, Iowa and came to Payette some thirty-five years ago from Sumner, Nebraska. Deceased was a member of the Payette Methodist Church. Mr. Lockhart passed away in this city several years ago.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Edith Seaman, Broken Bow, Nebr., Mrs. Ethel G. Alters, New Plymouth and Mrs. Fay R. Lopez, Meridian; two sons, Ray L. Lockhart, Sacramento, Calif., and Floyd R. Lockhart, Payette; one brother, Ralph E. Barks(sb Burks), New Plymouth; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Smith, Santa Cruz, Calif., and Mrs. Della Ingraham, Lewiston; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Her husband, and a daughter, Leota B. Melcher, proceeded her in death in 1937.
