John H. Doerr - After a brief illness, John H. Doerr, 83, of 20 John Street West, Waterloo, died Tuesday at K-W Hospital.

Born January 9, 1878, in Wilmot Township, Mr. Doerr was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam Doerr.

He lived in the Twin Cities most of his life and worked as a salesman for Dare's Limited for more than 40 years. He retired in 1941. Mr. Doerr was a member of Alma Street United Brethern Church.

His wife, the former Emily Isabelle Ewen, predeceased him in April of 1958.

Surviving are a son, Jack G. of Toronto; two daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Nora) Rau of Windsor, Mrs. Arthur (Nina) Stevens of Waterloo; two brothers, Clayton B. of Saskatoon and William B. of Bay City, Michigan; two sisters, Mrs. Louis (Priscilla) Dahmer of Kitchener, Mrs. J. D. Clairmont of Marmora, and 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.

The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where funeral service will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. by Rev. A. Ward Woolner.

Burial will be in First Mennonite Cemetery.
